Congrats to the Australian of the Year : another role model for young women scientists !

Pioneer physicist Prof. Michelle Simmons has been named Australian of the Year. Australia's most prestigious civic honour awarded each year to a person considered a national role model.

Prof. Simmons, quantum physics professor, led a team that created the world's first transistor made from a single atom in 2012.

BeWiSe is pleased to see the recognition of a women scientist who can be a great role model for young female scientists around the globe.
