Girls with toys: a funny response to gender stereotypes in science

On a recent NPR (USA) interview, an astropysicist used the expression "Boys with toys", when referring to scientists, which was underlined by the presenter; whether this was simple misstep which was then unnecessarily underlined (and maybe therefore reinforced) is left to discussion, but it has raised a reaction on twitter with a specific hastag, girls with toys, demonstrating in an informal and visual way that women too are hands-on technicians and scientists.
