Ceremony for new honorary members and general assembly

The ceremony for our honorary members took place on the 19th of May at the Royal Belgian Institute for the Natural Sciences. Our two guests and new honorary members gave us profoundly inspirational talks. Véronique Dehant unveiled some mysteries and wonders of Mars, based on her own and other research at the forefront of science. Marleen Temmerman shared her deep knowledge, passion and daily fight for sexual and reproductive health all over the world, as a Professor and Head of Department, but mostly as a Senator.

Bewise would like to thank both Véronique Dehant and Marleen Temmerman for the honour they give us by joining as lifetime honorary members.

The presentation of Véronique Dehant in an edited version can be found here and that of Marleen Temmerman can be found here. More information on Marleen Temmerman and her action can be found here and here, where information about donating to the International Center for Reproductive Health can be found.

The morning, rich in food for thought, was followed by lunch and networking. After that, the General Assembly was used to go over the healthy financial situation of the association, organisational issues, and events to take place in the coming months.
